Genome Cache™ has been developed by the Educational Outreach Team at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama. It can be used on McMillian Park, located on the HudsonAlpha campus in Huntsville or in conjunction with the GenomeCache website (genomecache.hudsonalpha.org), anyone anywhere can create their own GenomeWalk. The app includes a total of 20 different pathways through the human genome to choose from, each highlighting 15 genetic points of interest.
Explore the human genome through a virtual scavenger hunt, learn about how genes contribute to human traits, engage with fun facts, and test your knowledge with a trivia questions. Get points by finding each location and answering the trivia questions correctly and post your high score to the leader board.

Welcome to the all new GenomeCache. We have totally redesigned the user interface with updated graphics. GenomeCache now supports the latest iOS releases and device screen sizes. In addition to the new graphics, we have also added a QR reader for a new way to interact with locations. GenomeCache is still the best human genome scavenger hunt on the market! We hope you enjoy the new features.

To install GenomeCache on your iOS device, just click the green Continue To App button above to start the installation process. The app is listed on our website since 2020-01-31 and was downloaded 5 times. How to install GenomeCache on your iOS device:
- Click on the Continue To App button on our website. This will redirect you to the App Store.
- Once the GenomeCache is shown in the iTunes listing of your iOS device, you can start its download and installation. Tap on the GET button to the right of the app to start downloading it.
- If you are not logged-in the iOS appstore app, you'll be prompted for your your Apple ID and/or password.
- After GenomeCache is downloaded, you'll see an INSTALL button to the right. Tap on it to start the actual installation of the iOS app.
- Once installation is finished you can tap on the OPEN button to start it. Its icon will also be added to your device home screen.
